The first snare I ever bought when I was 9 years old. It needs a new throw off which I think could be easy/cheap to find/swap. You might even be able to take it apart and repair it as I think it might be missing a piece or got unhinged. The snare ribbons are pulled and held tight against the head so you can use it as a snare still until you get a replacement. Comes with new heads. Also sounds much deeper than you might expect. Think Slayer. A one ply head might make it get a little more ring and high pitch to it.
